Ba Don town develops and enhances the value of OCOP products.

With many good models and creative ways, the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program in Ba Don town has promoted the potential and advantages of local products, contributing to increasing income and creating jobs. for rural workers and increase product value.

Mr. Le Thanh Trien – Director of Quang Thuy Wooden Chopsticks Cooperative received the award at the typical cooperative competition in the Central – Central Highlands region in 2022.

Thanks to the mobilization and active participation of the political system, departments, branches, unions and the efforts of the people, up to now Ba Don town has many communes and wards producing products such as: Quang Hoa clean rice; Handicraft products from coconut wood, Quang Thuy wooden chopsticks; Quang Minh clean garlic; Fish sauce, Nhan Tho shrimp paste; Quang Long Nem chua; rice, Quang Hoa vermicelli and cakes; Quang Tho clean vegetables; Quang Van dry vermicelli; Quang Loc porridge powder; Quang Phong dried squash… These are all products that have been known to many consumers.
Products participating in the OCOP program not only simply produce and improve product quality but also create more jobs, helping to increase income for local workers, thanks to which many families in the area have a better life, contributing to the implementation of the agricultural sector restructuring project associated with new rural development.

In order to implement the program truly effectively, Ba Don town is continuing to review typical local products to ensure the scale of output to have products to supply to the market, and provide appropriate support. The cooperative improves its operational capacity to effectively implement the supply chain of input and consumption services, and has policies to encourage farmers to invest in expanding production and shifting agricultural structure.
